Who was Shefali Jariwala?
Shefali Jariwala was a popular television personality, model and actress. She became an overnight star in the early 2000s with the remix music video “Kanta Laga”. Her bold glamorous look and confident presence at that time made her popular. That is why many people knew her as “Kanta Laga Girl”.
Later, she also played a small role in the Bollywood film “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” (2004) and became popular with the new generation by participating in reality shows like “Nach Baliye” and “Bigg Boss 13” on television.
Death and initial reports
According to initial reports, on the night of June 27 (Friday) and the early hours of June 28, Shefali’s health suddenly deteriorated. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and three others rushed her to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital, Mumbai.
Doctors declared her “brought dead” on reaching the hospital. Although the exact cause of death has not been officially announced yet, cardiac arrest or sudden death due to heart attack is considered the probable cause.
